The events of sept.11 have proven that the civilized world
is engaged in fatefull struggle against hate and terror.
We are proud to present with the enclosed CD single which
was inspired by the heroic action of the New York fire
departnent. We hope that it in turn will inspire others
Daddy went to work that morning
He helps people when he can
And he'd never run 'till all the work was done
Daddy was a New York fire fighting man
When some evil minded cowards
Coming from some far off land
They blew up the sky and made so many die
And my dad,a New York fire fighting man
Daddy won't you come back once to kiss me
cause i miss you more than i can say
they tell me that you helped some people through
till you went a-missing on that awful day
I saw mommy softly crying
As they took her by the hand
Said a price was paid but he never was afraid
Cause he was a New York fire fighting man
And our soldiers will remember
In the hills and desert sand
When the going's rough
They're made of the same stuff
As my dad, a New York fire fighting man
Daddy when I'm grown I promise
I'll help people when i can
And I promise too I'll be as brave as you
When I'll be a New York fire fighting man
Daddy, you can't come back but I bet you
if you had it all to do again
Daddy, I know you
Would help those people through
cause you were a New York fire fighting man
Daddy, I know you
Would help those people through
cause you were a New York fire fighting man
Yes you were a New York fire fighting man
