He is everywhere and always
He was here from the start
He cannot be seen, nor heard
 I can feel him, in my heart

People have felt him many times
 No one knows his name
He does not wish to be worshiped
He never wanted fame

No one has ever died for him
He never caused a war
He does not believe in hatred
He never wanted "more"


And there I was, surrounded by darkness
Gloom filled me from within
Walls of despair above me
 A defeated paladin

He said only four words
Four words, that made me complete
"It will get better" he said
"It will get better" - that's it

And thanks to his infinite power
And his endless will
the darkness surrendered, the gloom fled
I was freed from my cage of steel

Thanks to his mending hope
And his healing trust
The walls collapsed, the vision opened
Sorrow vanished, faded in the past.


So here's my moral to you
This lesson you must learn
"It will get better"
and hope is not in vain
