I walk through today and tomorrow
Carrying the weight of my own
I walk through the mud of the sorrow
But the horizon glistens with gold
Through the swamp and the wood and the mountain of white
Through the plains and the hills and the lands of blight
I jog through today and tomorrow
Carrying my very own load
Of worries and hopes and pain untold
I don't know my destination exactly
But when I see it I'll know alright
I run through today and tommorow
Fighting my very own wars
Preparing my very own wards
Against all that unholy I see
It seems futile, sometimes, this battle of mine
But It's possible if I want it to be
I ride through today and tommorow
Carrying the weight of my yesterday
Sometimes alone and sometimes not
My vision vivid, though in pain and blood wrought
And an emblem of life I carry along.
I will overcome. |
