You came to me like the lightning strikes,
Swift and silent in a dark summer's night.
I was staring, still and helpless at the skys
When your thunder brought all hell unto my eyes.
And then the rain came in pouring masses,
And you're all gone, but the ground is filled with all your
glasses.
My lips electrified with energy unbounded,
My heart barely remembers how your thunder sounded.
I'm blinded by the empty void above,
And my head keeps screaming "we're in love!"
Then all around torn ships start to sink,
Recovered alcoholics hit their wives to get a drink,
All prison doors open up to all extent,
All bent down spoons begin to get unbent.
But then one child I'd known before,
Begins collecting broken glasses from the floor.
I'm shattered, but the ground is clear,
And I won't listen, but my ears can hear.
The clouds are gone, my eyes can see,
But I remember all, and don't know who was he.
He came to me like lightning strikes,
With flood and hunger, late at night.
And when I lay my eyes on all his harms,
My ears keep hearing my heart scream
Louder by far then all the alarms. |
