Somewhere beyond the fields of dreams
Lies a trembling child,
His tears flowing down the mountains of shattered hopes,
His face red with tears and stained by dust,
Somewhere beyond the fields of dreams
He lies alone,
No comforting touch to ease his pain,
No friendly smile to give him strength,
Surrounded by thorns and veins
Accompanied only by memories and fears
He's silent cry echoes thru the vast wastelands of
emptiness
Somewhere beyond the fields of lively nightmares
Lays the child I use to be
And if you look at my face
You'll see the tracks of my tears.
