We do not choose the tasks with which we cope.
Instead of coping we sometimes defy,
Flout and mock those duties for the hope
That "life is tough" remain a spiteful lie.
However, no salvation is then reached
Because our anguish still persists unspoken.
This fiendish circle can't be freely breached
Until we choose the circle to be broken.
The will is ours, the freedom of preferring
Fierce pain and suffering to life's allies.
It's valorous rebellion's deferring
Blind faith in God or premature demise.
Confront the choices, don't abandon life.
Your lament is unheard by Grace's schleif. |
