Will time be right? There's no guarantee
There's no comfort for you or me
It will be just another day
After which we'll sit and prey
And we'll look for you to answer 'amen'
But find the rabbi's voice 'God has him now, men'
Will you be ready? I'm not sure
Leaving us all so insecure
Have you achieved all your targets you have set?
Have you conquered all the troubles with which you've met?
And as we'll for you to ask
Your picture on my wall will say "I've completed my final
task"
How will it happen? I can't tell
Will you be sad and shocked as well?
Maybe you'll get to blow 120 candles on your cake
Or maybe you'll pay for some mistake
So when we wonder, and then ask you with fear
I'll sadly remember "you're no longer here"
What will happen afterwards? How can I know
I'm sure we'll see you wherever we go
We'll think of your face, your acts, your temper
You'll live in our hearts, we'll always remember
But seeing your place on the table, unset with no love or
food
I'll sadly cry and realize, you've left us, for good |
