Stoned to life

In the absence of flesh
Still there's fire in his eyes
Still he hopes in his heart
Still he dreams in his mind

All the pain he endured
Made him stronger by far
All that's gone, gone for good
Yet he shines like a star
From the peak of his loss
To be seen by us all
To reflect in our eyes

We can be so much more
