typical blood sucking parasites
that move around the world to look for quiet
under constant threats of an attack
they keep their luggage ready - and never unpack

nobody's ever asked me if i want to live this way
if i want to be unable to breathe free
if i want to have to read the news twice every day
with the fear that the next victim might be me

and we cannot run away because it hunts us everywhere
even in the heat here, we're not warm
and we fail to find a shelter to keep us from the storm
home is nowhere
no where's home.

and when the alarm rings
we run to the bunkers
they call them "shelters"
but are they,  really?
we walk on highways
against the traffic
we stand out naked in the storm
