Children of war wake up in the morning
Cover their eyes to not see what's going
On outside, right beyond the window
The world we live in we're destined to die for.
Children of war carefully open the door
Cover their ears to not hear the roar
Of madness and despair, screams of the dead
The street is bleeding for the unbearable threat.
Children of war, late at night they sigh
And if pure is your soul you can hear them cry:
Children of love we used to be
Full of innocence and honesty
But then fire stroke our tearful eyes
And all the love inside us dries.
No love...
Children of war walk down the road
Cover their mouth not to vomit out what
Accumulates within, violent and aggressive
Reality here is cruel and repulsive.
Children of war, late at night they sigh
And if pure is your soul you can hear them cry:
Children of love we used to be
So full of innocence and honesty
But then fire stroke our tearful eyes
And all the love inside us dies.
No love...
Children of war take another step ahead
They don't fear no more, they raise their heads
They open their blood shot eyes and stare
The open their mouths and yell " IT'S NOT FAIR!"
Children of love we used to be (why)
So full of innocence and honesty (oh why)
But then fire stroke our tearful eyes
And it were your guns that made love die
And it were your guns that killed in a strike
And it were your guns that erased our love...
Children of war come close to the wall
Raise their hands, dripping with blood
Slowly and patiently they perpetuate
We are no children of war, because love is our fate.
Love is our fate.
Love is our fate.
Love is our fate (love...)
Love is our fate...
