When I am  awfully old
And scarcely breathe
Please shut the door
And softly leave

Don't hesitate,
don't think too much
surround yourself
with silver scarf

I will be gone
Be sure of that
I have no fear
I did it all when I had youth
Upon my years

But now it's clear
Beyond a doubt
My end is near
My time ran out

await with lust
to close my eyes
to feel the last air
fill up my lungs

And I don't need
Nor shame nor guilt
to ruin the perfect moment  
of those deathly tears
