The light in my window, it's my angel without wings.
Sand that is blindly white and pure as your blood with the
fall of night.
Shivering tears glide down with wet feathers, as salty as
the ocean that is consuming angels and with the stroke of
dawn transforms them into  shiny pearls.

A black pearl I found on the bloody shores of Sodom.
A black pearl as bloody as my punctured heart.
In it a reflection as shiny and clear as your dead crystal
eyes. It said with carved letters as bright as dust from the
sun "I am the loot of a thousand wars".

"The loot of a thousand wars" echoed in my mind.
The sound of the church bells was carried in the wind
sending my soul back to that day.
The sky was stretched with gloomy gray; drops of rain fell
from the heavens but God's gardens were dry and lonely
still. Yet the ground was warmed by the fires of hell.

Lying cradled in your eternal bed you waved your last
goodbye until sunlight veiled by the skin of the earth hid
your cold lips from mine.
The black pearl took flight as memories filled my thoughts.

As my sorrows thickened like the mist of the hills the shiny
letters grew bright "She is the loot of a thousand wars".
The blood in my dying veins froze at last as I took the last
breath of life. With a pale hand I held my sword once more.

Silence overtook me with it in to the now dead corridor of
my heart.
I finally noticed my beast.

With this sword I'll paint the shores of Sodom red, for my
grief is too harsh for the living to bear.
Eternal death I have chosen, so to live in the shadows I
must.
The loot of a thousand wars you are to me, for love, life,
even the taste of blood could not keep your cold lips from
my lust.
