A: "Look at the sun"
B: "But it's night!"
A: "Don't try to be a wise guy. I said, look at the sun!"
B: "You mean the white ball of light up in the sky?"
A: "Yes, that one."
B: "Why, that's the moon!"
A: "I know where the moon is! I didn't tell you to look at
the moon. I told you to look at the sun!"
B: "But there is no sun! It's night, damn it!"
A: (severe tone) "Watch your language young lad! Now I told
you to look at the sun"
B: "Alright, alright. I'm looking."
A: "Are you really looking?"
B: "Yes"
A: "So can you see the yellow rays of light coming out of
it?"
B: "Yes"
A: "Can you see the ball itself?"
B: "Yes."
A: "Do you feel its warmth?"
B: "Yes"
A: "Well, isn't it lovely?" |
