He flew over hills and mountains,
Over the sea and through the clouds,
High, high to the sky,
Aiming for the sun
Reaching to the moon,
And when he felt close enough
Burned down,
To the ground,
Shattered pisses over the earth,
And reach up to grab the brag,
For arrogance will take you down
But not just to the ground,
Lower, lower sink under sea and earth,
To the heating veins of your planet,
Drowning
Melting
Burning
Choking
Ashes to ashes
Men to dust
Arrogance to fall
In the burning pain of failure. |
