There are universes, no end
They spread across x-y-z-triple-t axes
Six six six the number of the beast,
And the number of universes
Six to the power of six to the power of six
Spreading
Across six dimensions,
(As explained by Prof. Zebulun Carter,
Quoted by Grandpa Burroughs,
Who is hiding with his family in nuclear shelters)
And the beasts are fore-running and return,
To turn on the lights
Between the universes
In the thoroughfares of Moorcock's multiverse
And to swallow up the Time-Continuals
That dare move there in between.
Black holes and wormholes
Stride between the universes leisurely
And I, a tiny fleck of sand,
Seeking to buy affordable milk
Yet sipping a cup of Cola Zero
Contemplating his universe in his song
"Universes endless, but the milk for coffee is finished"
Says the lad to the poet,
And returns to his bed
"If there is no milk, let them drink Cola"
Replies the other, nonplussed,
And goes back to drinking. |
