Once upon a waste of life
All I thought I had was never truly mine;
What a beautiful, painful falsehood you've been.
From my warm and beating heart the blood ran away cold,
Sleepless nights and endless, slow days;
Always a nightmare, never a dream.
I was looking for completion when I fell deep into you,
But you were like a fading, distant dream because you never
came true,
And now you say it meant nothing to you.
And then you turned around and tore me apart
Because you had nothing better to do,
You liked to make a thousand cuts bleed
But you won't ever cut through,
It's clear it all means nothing to you.
Cutting wrists, swallowing bitter pills,
Jumping down from the tallest building;
Nothing makes the pain and suffering fade away.
With every hateful thought and bleeding word,
I inch away from everything I once known;
Never a whisper, always a blood-freezing scream.
I was looking for an ending when I fell deeply into you,
But you were like a distant, fading dream because you never
were true,
How dare you say it meant nothing to you?!
And now you turn around and tear me apart
Because you have nothing better to do,
You love to make me bleed with small cuts
But you never dare to cut through,
It's crystal clear I meant nothing to you! |
