Every night when I lie, I see all the stars gather up in the
skies, that are filled with despair
As I gaze at the light of millions of dots and their
coldness is vast, while their darkness deter
And the turmoils inside, sending shivers of frail, shaking
boundaries of souls' inner light
Gone are the days of our youth and our wonder
When our dreams were as great as the sea
Now the oceans of time, distorted the mirror
Broken now, bears the image of me
Gone is the love that the waves have washed over
and the fire of passion within,
That the winds of our sorrow had scattered
There shall remain the cold shade of me.
As I question my past, the memories of life filled with
scents of the fields, and the salt of the sea
All the sights and the sounds, they are mixed with the gold
of our wishes and hopes, of the future to be
Where our spirits of young, and the joy in our hearts,
turned to be a fleeting memory..
Every day of my life, I stare at your picture that hangs on
my wall, in our home in the fields
And the smile in your eyes, is all that is left to bring
warmth to my tears, for the waste of the years
As the magic dispersed, and all that remains are the stars
up above,
They hold memories of days long gone by. |
