It can be sensed in the air,
A terrible feeling of a death storm.
Evil winds blows too strong
And no birds to sing a song of hope.
It can be seen from afar,
A ferocious cloud of terror.
It can be heard from a distance,
The sounds of a doubting mind.
How long will these go on?
No one seems to know the answer,
It seems hard for them to break away.
How long the time keeps dragging on?
No one seems to even feel
How life is just slipping through their hands.
And you're so tired,
So confused,
It's what you use to say,
Losing whatever you thought you had,
But it's all an illusion,
It's what you won't ever admit
To yourself.
How much more do you really need?
Before the moment arrives when you realize
There's nothing more to gain.
How much time do you really need now?
There's no sense in fighting on and on,
Just lay back and enjoy what you've got.
And you're so tired,
So abused,
It's what you use to say.
Giving up on all you've got,
But it's all an illusion,
It's a thing you never dare to admit
To yourself.
And I just can't keep on like this,
Can't find a point in dragging on time.
And I don't really need anything else,
I am out of time and place,
Or at least it's what I keep telling myself.
Here on the beach
There's just one second
That could be stretch for hours
Before the world ends.
Lie with me here
In the oncoming darkness,
Stay with me here for one more moment
Before the world ends,
Here on the beach. |
