When someone believes with all his heart that he can make a
difference and help the world become a better place, most
people see it as an abnormality. As if it is not his place
to change the world and he should focus on more basic things
like getting an education and a proper work.
Most people don't want the world to change. What's even
worse is that most people don't even believe it can. This
state of mind, although sad, is normal. Abnormality is
normal as well. Every statistics has its abnormalities and
every one of those counts when you calculate the average.
However, it is ok not to aspire to being average. It is ok
to want to change the world. It is even better to actually
do it.
So the next time you think one of your acquaintances is
losing his mind when he believes that he can change the
world, stop for a second and think why you are not the one
losing his mind when you think you can't make a difference.

Maybe if a lot of people think they can make this place a
better one, things would actually look different. People
will stop focusing on how to kill each other and start
focusing on how to live with each other. Once they do that
they could focus on the bigger problem, how to live. This
planet is dying and we are killing it with our own hands. It
doesn't matter if the ones who will suffer the consequences
will be our kids, or their kids, or ten generations ahead.
Stop taking everything for granted.  In this world nothing
is. The little layer of stardust which gives us the ability
to breathe is crumbling down as we speak. Nuclear weapons
will be used, and if you are positive they won't be, why
keep them?
Computers are not just a bunch of ones and zeros anymore.
They are thinking, and they are thinking faster than us.
There will come a day which will force computers to choose
if they benefit from the fact that we are here or not. If
you don't believe that know that belief is irrelevant.
Throughout history, science fiction became science fact. If
someone can imagine something and write about it, someone
else later on will have the skill and technology to actually
create it, regardless to the creation being a good or a bad
thing to mankind.
Even today, parents can choose the sex of their child, the
color of his eye, and there are people that can provide them
a copy child for tough health times. Society condones these
technologies, but scientists were never the most popular
guys, and they couldn't care less.
A pet robotic dog is already in the toy store close to your
location. Not far from now will be the robotic child on the
shelf next to the dog. Smart, nice, lovely robotic child.
The only problem is that children, even robotic ones, do not
always do as they are told. And when the robot children will
start doing whatever they want, this is the time to start
thinking why. This is the only question robots will never
know the answer to.
So now, try to think outside the box. Start answering the
whys. Why are we doing whatever we can to destroy everything
we have? Why do we think that we can only win if someone
looses? The most important question is why we have to win.
In god we trust, but even the bible marks the first five
commandments as the most important. Men, and women, come
first. Only when humans behave as expected of them to each
other, they can make room for god and respect him. Start
acting today. Be nice to the people around you. If they want
to change the world, don't mock them. Help them. After all,
it's your world too.
No one should be the one. There is no one. One can only
become two and then three. If you all try to be the one,
good times will come. But one cannot be the one if he stops
thinking about two, and as important, zero.
