there was once a mouse, gray and dirty but very smart.
he kept wanting to be heard, to share what he had to say. to
talk about the life down below so everyone could understand
him and see the beauty that he does.
he would sometimes approach a group of people, trying
quietly to mingle between them but soon enough everyone
would look at him. starring and pointing in a way that made
him feel that everybody are expecting to hear something
important from him. something meaningful that would change
their life.
he would than get really panicked. trying to sort the best
words from his mind. choosing only the best in his quest to
make his master piece of thought. but he would not.
the tension and fear were simply too much for him and
instead of letters and words all that came out of him mouth
was a peep, an high pitched peep with no meaning or thought,
a simple peep.
the crowd reaction to the peep had hurt him time after time
- the people seemed horrified by him. it appeared that they
have lost their senses, they acted crazy as if they have
lost their only chance of meaning.
they screamed and ran around frantically, some turned their
sadness to anger and even tried to stomp him - as if he was
a false prophet giving them hope for his own enjoyment and
pleasure.
these events were not forgotten by him. he always thought
that his words might have the power to change people's life
but he found that the lack of his words had an equal yet
destructive power of sadness and hate.
since than, every time that would try to talk his eyes would
be filled with the images of what happened to him before and
felt his palms shaking from fear, his heart racing with
anger and his noses cratching with sadness.
he would than find it hard to speak and eventually lost his
way with words and all that remained in his mind were peeps.
