A dark cloud passes over me,
Teardrops rolling down on my feet.
Standing on the edge of the world,
Tiny figures running back and forth.
A dark cloud passes over me,
Raindrops washing away my dreams.
Still don't know what I'm doing here,
Myriad of faces; so hard to tell apart.
I can't see,
I don't know,
I wish for a sign
Because I want to know
How to come back...
Raindrops falling under my feet,
Making my way to her house down the street.
Drinking wine and drowning sorrows,
Some children play and scream down the hall.
A dark cloud closing in on me,
A constant reminder of what I used to be.
Still don't know why the hell I'm here,
Myriad of voices; it's so hard to tell them apart.
I can't see,
Nowhere to go,
Wishing for something inside to grow
Because I want to know
How to come home...
Sitting near the table in this little kitchen
Lit by some darkened candle-light.
Soaking in some whisky and rhyme,
A bottle in my mouth and a loaded gun in my hand.
Whisper softly, don't make a noise,
Don't wake all those dormant fears and thoughts.
Still don't know where I'm suppose to be,
As long as you're here I promise not to disagree...
A dark could passes over me,
Teardrops rolling down on my feet. |
