Within the farthest corner of our worlds
There's a trapdoor leading to a faraway land
But we'll never dare
Crossing it until we're sure about what's waiting over
there.
She's looking for a place
Where the heart will mend
And would never feel any more kind of pain,
But she finds herself dying slowly in a cold-hearted world.
A man finds a new home,
A new place on which he can hold on to,
But the weakest earthquake will shatter it to the ground,
It's unconceivable.
An old man sitting alone on a windy beach,
Young people surround him and he just wants to escape
To a world where he can feel he has a worth,
But they all spit in his face.
A homeless man lying drunk on a dirty pavement,
All he really wants is a job and some respect
So he can hold on his own;
He sinks deep into his bitter glass of wine.
On the corner of the street there's a whore,
She lost her child and her life and now she's selling
herself short,
Wishing for another chance at life
As they all invade crudely into her private place.
A man finds a new hope,
Something new that he can hold on to,
But the weakest earthquake will desolate it all away,
It's unbearable.
We all feel so alone,
But our loneliness somehow makes us stronger.
We grow so old and cold,
But we never felt true warmth.
Feelings so twisted and vast,
Emotions overwhelm like a wild river.
Wishing for something to happen,
Something to chain us down.
We live together as one but fall apart in two,
Blindly we leap empty handed into the void.
Reaching out for an embrace and a human touch,
We slit our wrists, we bleed, and we die.
We all hope to find a new home,
A new place to belong and hold on to,
But we know that the weakest earthquake
Will shatter us to pieces into the ground...
We're only humans, you know...! |
