as midnight turns another date into past
I will look at you
and know
you will have
arrived.

mis-placing words that
just tickle from a distance I know
they make
little sense
did they make you smile?

Faded sensations of a month ago you are
missed again
past present future tense
almost a recovered time
I hoped for a stare that sustains
through such night into the morning
less then four nights away.
