אלעד ארנון
/ if israel could talk

את המונולוג הזה הקראתי בפני קהל ישראלי פלשתיני

If Israel could talk, what would she say?
Maybe she would say: I am the Jewish homeland,
You can see the history on my view:
The western wall from David and Solomon holy temple,
Abraham and Sara graves, the signatures of leaders and
profits on ancient stones.
If Israel could talk, what would she say?
Maybe she would say: I had a people who used to live inside
of me, and their gone, because there forced to leave their
home, threatened by anger and weapons, and I want them to
come back home.
If Israel could talk, what would she say?
Maybe she would say: stop fighting you guys, I sick of your
wars, make a compromise, let me be a peaceful lend as I
disserve to be.
If Israel could talk, maybe she would choose not to speak,
she would chose to stand still and wait...
Like a patient mother who loves her children equally without
any priority, as she watch them struggle and then make a
compromise, like a loving brothers.
And she just stay there, waiting with hope, that when there
finish the fight they will go to her and tell her: "thank
you mom for treat us as roundups and let us understand how
much ugly is fighting, and how much nice, is to find out
that we like each other and no matter what we fight for, we
still live together and we realized that we should be loving
and patient because its so much simple to live like this.

If only Israel can hear us, and we could speak to her, what
we would tell her?
"we sorry for rowing your beautiful lend?"
"we sorry for the blood and the body's that berried inside
of you",
Or maybe we can just tell her:
"hi look at us, we so far away from you right now, and we
talking about you, trying to heal your wounds and make you
fill better".
Would she listen to our discussions?
Dear beautiful lend:
I know that I love you, and I know that my neighbor maybe
some day my brother love you.
So why cant we stick to this connection of love between a
person to his lend, and put the dammed bloodshed a final
end.
