It's late at night
Alone again
Under the covers wonders
When will it end,
How much beer
Can one consume?

It feels like
All my life
I wait for you.

And then the blanket moves
I smell your pain from far
A dominating hand stroking
My broken love,
Leading it to that blessed place
Where consciousness gives way
To dreams and lust.
Violated spirit, covers with
Your scared skin,
I can feel all the places
And the people you have been-

When tomorrow you'll wake up
Red eyes reveling that you didn't win
Blurring to me with a week lame voice
To get you aspirin.

New day, new hope, I try my best
But darkness comes far too fast,
Side by side your vodka battle
Which you huge so tight,
I, always to settle for a spent
Shade of you, shaking late at night.

Late at night
Alone again
Addicted to a drunken man
I wonder,
When will you be
Back.. |
