Figment of my imagination

I've seen you here and there
and on occasion we talked
in my mind things go so well
and maybe I'm wrong

everytime I look at your face
it reminds me just how
your personality's imprinted in me
and it's not yours at all
I ain't being fair to neither

Doubt creeps into my mind
it stays there all the time
how to pull away from me?

It might not be fair to you,
I know that you might feel discomfort
but I must have my escape

so how will you hold?
and how can you match up
against a figment of my imagination

and it's all about things to achieve
and to give a bruised ego a lift
for concealed vanity i would
sacrifice reality

we all create fantasys
they shape our expectations
but they cannot be the real thing
that's their definition
and that is their nature

and I'm scared of what you're up against with me
everytime my imagination's running free
I can see what is fake and what is real
and I wouldn't change a thing

and I know that you're real
and I 'm not going crazy
I don't want you to change
I just can't let it go

I don't know if we'll meet
