Our story begins
in a land far and old
with the fairest of girls
and a lad strong and bold
for the lad had in mind
with both gold and some pearls
to buy him the hand
of the fairest of girls
Alas she has told him
that marry she wont
unless to a hero
who's brave and gaunt
And so she has told
the brave young lad
she'll marry the slayer
of the Drinker of Blood
The lad picked up weapons
and armor he bought
and day after day
for the Drinker he sought
But none ever knew her
or where she would dwell
and the lad got depressed
his life turned to hell
but one day he met
an man wise and old
who met with the Drinker
or so he has told
The wise man admitted
but discouraged the lad
he wasn't yet ready
for the Drinker of Blood
The boy went on quest
and fought a pirate with a hook
and retrieved a scepter,
a crown and a book
he turned to the man
and begged to know
where will the Drinker
be waiting for his blow
the old man declined
and reject the lad
he still couldn't face
the Drinker of blood
the boy got enraged
but went out again
to find him a monster
and prove that he can
he met with a ghostly
creature that moans
and everyone feared it
the Duke of bones
he fought with the duke
for a day and a night
and when it had fell
he knew he won the fight
again to the old man
he now has returned
to face with the Drinker
he made his demand
the old man just shrugged
and refused the young lad
he still couldn't match
with the Drinker of Blood
our lad near went mad
and took ride on a wagon
this time he had meant
to kill off a dragon
he found his intended
in a cave on a hill
he challanged and boasted
and charged for the kill
the dragon had roared
but before it had knew
a sword in his stomach
the dragon had slew
the lad the returned
all sputtered with mud
and demanded to kill
the Drinker of Blood
You tell me where she is
the man he has told
or you will now die
unwise and old
I killed off a pirate
a duke and a dragon
and their blood on my hand
like wine from a flagon
the old man then smiled
and told the lad
he was finally ready
for the Drinker of Blood
he then took a mirror
off the wall
and showed the lad
just how far one can fall
Your pride and your anger
you foolish lad
have turned you into
a Drinker of Blood
For nothing is firecer
or worse than you did
you kill as you wish
as you want, as you bid
so if you would really
care to, my lad
fall on your sword
and slay the Drinker of Blood
