דיון מפורסם. המטלה הייתה להכנס לנעליו של אסיר במחנה השמדה
שקצין נאצי גוסס ביקש ממנו, כנציג העם היהודי, מחילה על פשעיו.

A dying man's last wish - what is it for? When a man is
dying, he is facing his whole life, and in a moment of
clarity he is a witness to his actions and choices, an
explorer of his own life. If at any moment a man is
objective, it is now.

The next phase is the question - "Did I live the correct
life?" The last wish is a final act of reassurance. Whether
it is a plea for redemption or a tribute of gratitude, the
dying man asks for confirmation that he had lived a good
live, in accordance with the moral code he was raised by.
