A Life Of Crime.
Money that I gained
In an underhanded manner
With which I bought a house (the money, not the manner).
A house of death, a house from hell,
A house of pain and awful smell.
That money which I must have stolen
bought me a new house.
A wife that I gained
In an underhanded manner
Had organized a sale.
A sale of shoes, a sale of shirts,
Of tambourines and purple skirts.
That wife which I must have stolen
Sold all my favorite stuff.
A ship which I gained
In an underhanded manner
On which I sailed the seas.
The seas of life, the seas of sand,
The seas of wrinkles on my hand.
That ship which I must have stolen
Wasn't water-tight.
A haircut which I gained
In an underhanded manner
was crooked as a lawyer.
A lawyers pen, a lawyers suit,
A lawyers hen (a pet), a lawyers boot.
That haircut which I must have stolen
Was crooked and unsightly -
Which goes to show
That crime doesn't pay. |
