I like staring at the moon at night
Then God and me have a fight
He asks me if I've ever seen something prettier than his
moon
And I tell him to look by your house, for you'll be there
soon
In the right mood I like staring at the sun
Blinding light that can easily stun
Yellow and warm it dwells the sky
Just like you dwell my heart and my cry
And of course who can live without gazing at the stars
Caging the sky with a thousand heavenly bars
Twinkling and blinking, making wishes come true
I don't think there is a star who hasn't yet heard me
wishing for you
All these lights are splendid, that's true
But more than all I like looking at you
The moon, the sun, all the stars as they fall
When I look in your eyes, I can see them all |
