I lift my head up high and Howl!
Releasing energies built up in my mind,
Screaming to the moon and stars shining above my head,
Trying to tear at my bonds with sightless eyes.
I lift my fists and strike the wall,
Loosening forces that are kept deep inside;
My hands are first white, then red.
No one is there to hear my frustrated cries.
I swim upriver, trying, vainly, to heal
My wounded soul, trying to find...
In the ice-cold water my body is now clean,
But I fear a tear could ruin it all.
Eons later, with the rising dawn,
I remembered the dream, its feelings.
I am left down here. Yearning...
