The horizon lasts forever as I walk my lonely path
Walking into a future unknown and unwanted
"This life demands it", I hear a voice say
Do not be mistaken, this is not your life to live
You are only a pawn

The sun hides behind the clouds as if afraid of something
But only I am here, or am I?
"You are never alone", I hear it say
Don't mind nature's retreat into darkness
Just keep walking

Something is strange on my cold familiar path
Everything is turning barren, turning away
I do not take another step
I look inside instead of forward
Only to find nothing

Enough of this cycle I cannot break
I stray from my path and follow the wind
Nearing the edge of my world I see only stars beyond
"Do not leave", I hear the voice beg
We need you, all of us

God sits on the ledge smiling at me
"You have created me?", I ask
No my son, you have created me
Your desperate soul needs something to believe in
A world so cold, lonely and cruel demands it

"Forgive me" we both say
And both disappear
