The lonely scent of my burning candle brings thoughts
Dark visuals, an avatar of death
Bleak souls gathering in a whirlwind
Drawing nearer to the flame, cherishing the warmth
A reminder of love

My candle burns forever, never giving way to an end
Oils of lust flow down its side, dripping blood
Black and twisted, it smells of roses
Weird how such beauty can lay within a brutal shell
A mirror of madness

I can feel my heart pound stronger, trying to overcome its
need of blood
Or is it trying to tell me something?
My life is reflecting upon the candle's light
When it dies out, so might I
But when?

Smoke is running in retreat
Fading quickly away like the years of my life
It dares not stay near warmth in fear of being burnt by
insanity
It does not know that when it kisses the cold air it will
disappear
No one will remember

My world's darkness lingers in a land where day is night as
well
The only hint of light comes from far away
The flame of my candle I see coming towards me
Who is it I see holding that spark of light?
Who is it holding my life?

My candle does not speak
It does not need to
When it is ready to die
It will let me know
When there are no more memories to burn
It may rest in peace
In a puddle of its own demise
A simple mirror of madness
