For as I sit by my open window
Dreaming of love and happiness

The thoughts that enter my mind
Of a sad lonely life
Become real more and more

As I sit by my open window
Trying to capture my love's attention
He fails to receive my signs

So many unanswered loves
Mostly based on the flesh
Lust of the body
Not of the soul
Passion for closness and satisfaction
A need to be fulfilled

Not love

As I sit by my open window
Wondering what the future will be like
I sink deeper and deeper in self pitty

This is not supposed to be
Not like this

As I sit by my open window
Writing a poem about my thoughts
They become clearer to me
