Towering grandeur out in full view
But only perceivable by few
Iridescent, glaring bright
But humanity is smoky eyed
Despite my efforts to abide
By rules of conduct, you never tried
To stop.
And take a look.
Just a tourist here
Stick to your right
Don't feed the beasts
Just a visitor here
Don't touch anything
You break, you pay
Inside there are endless doors
A fragile maze of lucent holds
Condensed with curiosities
Mechanisms of my being
The doors flung open, a mob stampede
Stripping bare from floor to ceiling
stop.
And have a seat.
Just a tourist here
Stick to your right
Don't feed the beasts
Just a visitor here
Don't touch anything
You break, you pay
There's not a sound
A dust cloud settles down
On
Fractured bones, broken lashes
Crumpled flesh, smiles in ashes
Crystalline shatters are all that remain
Of my shelter, my haven, razed by disdain
A tower of stones will be built in its place
Rock like my skin, gray as my face.
Just a tourist here
Yet invaded my home
Slaughtered the beasts
Just a visitor here
Yet took all control
You broke now you pay
you'll pay... |
