Sun central (park)
An American poem
It was so beautiful here,
If the sunshine in central park today
Was capitalism
Let me be a stock broker.
Every one seemed a little happy
Just a hip and a hop
Away from their heart.
There were so many people
That no one was really there.
By the pond
Was a Jewish wedding
above it thousands ran two and half hours
For a Norwegian marathon
And all they got was a bagel with some fish
At the end.
I sat by the steps
Where the bright green water
Smiled at me with its ducks.
