Things happen for a reason, right?
Then why do I feel like everyone's against me? Like the
world would start rotating the other way just as long as I'm
miserable?
Self-pity is not as bad as you think it is. You learn to
live with it. It becomes a part of you. You start to thrive
in it. You can't think of yourself differently anymore. And
everything becomes a 'lose - lose' situation. You look at
the world as if it's against you.
I don't really want to admit it but I've come to realize
that that's my way of thinking. People always tell me to
stop being so cynical. Do you really think I could look at
the world as if it's a good place to live in?
I don't expect anything, that way I never get disappointed
or frustrated.
But I also never try hard enough, why bother if I'm doomed
to fail?
So maybe it's not the world that's going against me, maybe
I'm fighting myself. And when you look at it that way it is
a 'lose - lose' situation.
Because you can't win when you're in a constant battle with
yourself... |
