went to a party mom
went to a party and remembered what u said.
u told me not to drink,mom, so I had sprite insted.
I felt proud of myself, the way u said I would,
that I didn't drink and drive, some friends said I should.
I made a healthy choice, mom, and your advice to me was
right.
the party finally ended, and the kids drove out of sight.

I got into my car, sure to get home in one piece.
I never knew what was coming,mom, something I expected
least.

now I'm laying here on the paramedic's table,
and I hear the paramedic say that the kid that caused this
accident was drunk, mom, his voice seems so far away.
my own blood all over me, as I try not to cry,
I can hear the paramedic say:  this girl is going to die.

I'm sure the guy had no idea, while he was flying high,
because he chose to drink and drive,
and now I would have to die.
someone should have thought him, mom, that it's wrong to
drink and drive,
maybe if his parents had, I'll be still alive !

so y do people do it,mom? knowing that it rains lives?
my breath is getting shorter, and I'm getting really
sceared,
thease r my finall moments and I'm so unprepered.

tell sister not to be afraid, mom,tell deddy to be brave,
and when I go to heaven put "deddy's girl" on my grave.
I wish that u could hold me, mom,






שיר שנכתב בהשראת כתבה לפני שנה בערך... בכתבה מסופר על ילדה
שהלכה למסיבה, אימה סיפרה שהילדה הבטיחה לא לשתות ולנהוג וכך
עשתה הילדה ובדרך חזרה מהמסיבה התנגשה בה מכונית של בחור ששתה
ונהג...האירוניה- סיפור עצוב !
