There was a woman, smart and brave,
Who felt her freedom boundless.
She climbed the trees and sailed the seas
And never feared of hardness.
To check the limits was her destiny,
To find the borders for her huge Empire
Of nature, dreams, ideas - all that passed her scrutiny -
It seemed that Knowing was her uttermost desire.
Her glittering eyes, her loving countenance
For everything that dwells on Earth
Have brought her Fondness everywhere
She found attractive to bestow upon her glance.
But Fondness rendered hackneyed,
And lovers could not put her ends - she always looked
beyond.
And so, she was far far away,
When meanwhile, void was creeping -
Seizing scarcely populated lands
Within the kingdom where the beauty laid as pray.
To rid the void, to populate again the kingdom's heart
Was now her primal mission,
But how can inner lands be taken care
When all frontiers are fenceless and in endlessly
transition?
Frightened she was not.
Her confidence could easily dismiss heart-shudder,
But, still, she knew well perfectly
That now has come her most important moulding hour.
First, she chose to play -
She tried to split herself,
Assuming simultaneous positions
In four winds of the kingdom,
Taking on her nicknames
To deal with building fences,
While hiding the increasing void
That somehow had begun to threaten freedom.
She wished again like she has always done
That the frontier would bring the answers -
And this time, bring the One
Who would supply her limits and some barriers -
A growing indispensable requirement
For her to deal the void
And stable her Empire's freely roaming fragments.
Was this One to come? Is it true that somewhere He exists?
I would not know,
For this is just a one of sundry cases,
That are taking place in our world.
It might be luck, it might be will, or even mere illusion
that limits are moulded, and the mighty kingdom places
Itself within the wide-spanned arms of a prodigious boy. |
