What purpose does it serve

As a new found religion had taught us
Every thing has a purpose
Ways become for a need
So tell me please
Why accept harsh laws, which
forbid needs and
suppress actions presumed to be wrong

Why not fulfill a need, which exists, because of
things that were passed and told
