although they're here to stay

spent money we don't  have
so we can drive safely
through villages of hatred
but cost of the land
cant compare to the worth
of a 7 years old dead kid
hell on earth

were all victims of our stubbornness
and that toll road is a reminder
we pay to ignore
deluded by money
we tend to forget
the people on the other side

so they twisted their religion
got no other goal
burning fire in their eyes
will burn us all  

we built a concrete wall 8 meters tall
but walls too high are meant to fall

politicians decide upon our destiny
while shots are fired
no solution's being given
they're at another ribbon cutting ceremony
no one will rest
till the numbers are even

play a gunfire tune
you can plug your ears and close you're eyes

of tenderness and peace
