Never thought I'd destroy
A wall I had built by myself.
With every breath I take, a brick is added.
Never thought I'd shoot myself
For tearing it down,
Never thought my own blood
would stick the bricks together again.
Never thought I'd be as weak as they wanted me to be,
Never thought I'd wear the uniform that I despise.
My soul is buried deep under this wall,
Maybe someday I'll make it to the other side.
Meanwhile, I write these words,
For what they're worth,
In complete darkness.
My eyes see only pain
And no light. |
