We're Going out again, Zohar 2/26/03
We're going out again tonight.
It never stops.
You think you've lived through it once
And that should be enough.
It becomes your way of life,
You sleep when you can,
Share your bed with your gun.
In the beginning, I prayed.
But so did my friends,
And Most didn't come back.
I don't pray anymore.
I Just do my best.
I kill the fear
And fight the war
By killing men and asking for more.
You learn to cope with the noise
At night, at day, all the time
The shouting, the shots
The faces of innocent people
And those waiting until you turn around.
We're going out again tonight,
They're saying it's going to be one of those wild nights
When anything can happen
When you find out about new ways to die
I should call home, don't really have the time
I'll call tomorrow. I'll be fine. |
