It is told that only on a moonless night,
the black castle of melancholy can be brought to sight.
A thousand stairs from the ground,
in a tower standing tall above,
the princess of melancholy waits for her love.
The brave knight must prove his skills in a test,
he mustn't let the melancholic princess get him depressed.
From the castle many sad knights return alone,
for, the princess has a heart of stone.
Only those who feel nothing can the test outsmart.
However, they are not interested in the princess,
and therefore break her heart.
While, this poem may never die,
a few lonely bones left in the tower,
the princess's poor fate imply.
