A dark night. Cold winds of the beginning of autumn blow. We
walked down the same street we walk through every night on
our midnight stroll. The oil lams glowed slightly lighting
up the street with a dim light. A little fog started to
cover the ground slowly. I wrapped my arm around you to keep
you warm. Wearing an overcoat this night was a good idea but
not enough. I could feel you shiver a bit and so you cling
your self to me. We kept walking along while the wind blows
beneath us. The streets were silent as people slept in their
houses, warm in their beds. Not a shadow moved except our
own. The only noise was made by our steps taken on the stony
pavement. We seemed alone but we were not. I knew something
was watching us. Somewhere, between the shadows it lurked.
Waiting for me to take my guard down. You didn't notice my
concern and kept your smile of happiness and innocence on
your face. A sudden burst of wind blowed your hat off. I
reached my cane to catch it and then it happened! I let my
guard down. In a flash it jumped out snatching you from me
is such speed that I couldn't even act to stop it from
happening. And so it fleeted back into the shadows with
only a single scream of your voice left for me. That scream
still haunts me at night. Two years have passed since and my
searches had not ceased. I have not slept in one week since
receiving this letter from you. What sick game are they
playing with me?! Two years after they let you send me a
letter. A letter that re-ignites my passion and love to you,
a letter that re-ignites my lowliness and sadness, a letter
that re-ignites my anger. For six years I have been hunting
them. But for the last two years it's been different. This
time it wasn't just killing them instantly one by one and
feeling sorrow and guilt for killing the human they once
were, this time I would torture them first and then kill
them. The worst thing was that I didn't feel neither sorrow
nor guilt, in fact I enjoyed it. Seeing them suffer and
twist in pain. The fire would burn in my hart just before I
would end it all. Then I would go back to my house on
Pullbarry street, have a drink and sit in front of the fire
place gazing into the fire burning through the wood logs
till it went out. And so I was sitting in my chair with my
drink in my hand gazing at the fire when I heard a knock at
the door. I didn't feel like seeing anybody especially at 5
am. I ignored the knocking for a bit but after a couple of
minutes they started to disturb my quite time and so I got
up and when to the door. When I opened it I saw a well known
face. It was William, the servant of lord Bellhough. William
was a young boy at the age of 12. He had blond hair that was
covered by his cap and green eyes. He was a thin boy and not
too tall, but then again how tall can you be at the age of
12. He was dressed just like a little gentleman, cloths
bought by his master. He looked up at me handed me a letter
and said "Good morning sir Myers, sorry to wake you at this
time". "You didn't wake me William but why must you bother
me at the end of the night?" "Master Bellhough wish's your
presence immediately". I looked at the letter William gave
me. It was an invitation to join lord Bellhough for
breakfast. Will I was going through the letter William
continued "Master Bellhough will be waiting for you at his
estate in two hours, shall I inform him of your arrival?" I
looked up at him, Bellhough wants me for dinner, couldn't
pass that out. "Tell lord Bellhough that I accept his
invitation and will be there". With that young William took
a slight bow and walked off into the morning fog.
