One shot, an injury,
A soldier falls down.
Torpedoes, a hit,
Sailors that drown.
Soldiers that sneak
Onto unfriendly shore.
All of these are signs
For an upcoming war.
Although there had been many,
People still do not understand:
In war you cannot hope to win,
You can only hope to bend.
Wars gain nothing
But a loss of life.
Children without a father,
Husbands without a wife.
To try to subdue
A nation by force
Is as futile as possible,
And brings only remorse.
To truly succeed
In what you wish to alter,
You must turn to reason
Lest you fail or falter. |
