I come from a different place
A place that we feel the need to protect
A place of fear, a place of war
A place, it's sad to say,
That every child knows the meaning of the word
TERROR.

I left this place, but not in my heart
I came to a different place
Some will say a different world
A world that is safe, knows no fear
A world where there's no war
And an innocence of a child you cannot steal.

In one sunny day this dream world was shattered
The clouds came out, the world went dark
In a second of lightning TERROR invaded
People died, children are crying
The world is on its knees praying.
The face of hell had shown its ugliness
Tears of joy became of such sadness
When will it stop this feeling of helplessness?

So much lost, it's seems like everywhere
Lost of our family
A city
The feel of security
When will it stop? No one can say
A dream so beautiful turned into a nightmare
And the wake-up was oh so painful.

Now, when I shared this pain
I can say:
I come from a different place
And I found this wonderful world.
A world that was hit but then rose with such strength
A world that is united, that proudly salutes its flag.
A world that children can see heroes as no story but as
reality
A reality of a world where people value others life more
then their own
Of people that embrace one another
And create an unbreakable wall.

My home and this world are the same in my heart
Now we are mourning but we still need to fight
TERROR is no stranger in these difficult days
It is true that god works in mysterious ways.
We got a precious gift
It is hard to see
The tears still fall
But we know that we are all part of the same wall.
