The lightning flashed through the sky as the man heard the
rapping - and then life was over, he knew it for the rapping
was moving back in time turning greener and hotter. He knew
it because that was his last hope - now that the world has
crumbled to dust and molecules of cardboard. At that time
the man lived in some old palace he found on the street. It
was a miserable existence even in relation to his death bed
in the old world, he has created three worlds and managed
them - watching the little people disappear slowly as he
stopped caring for the world. Finally each world would
crumble into the cardboard it was created from. It was when
god sat in silence on his chair contemplating one day that
he understood it was useless - life only existed as a
relation with others of your kind and there were none such
in the world from the very beginning - it was all just
cardboard. So came the rapping which god has longed so much
for - he couldn't understand it but he knew it was something
other then himself and the old palace which were the only
things in existence as he knew it. There was a storm - he
knew there couldn't be any but that didn't matter because
there was no need for logic in a place which didn't really
exist. God stood up and advanced towards the rapping. The
lightning flashed through the sky as the man heard the
rapping - life was over, he knew, for the rapping was
suddenly moving back in time turning greener and hotter.
Rodes woke up and saw her friends come back slowly from the
future and turn to normal colors from the yellow, white and
purple which they were before. The world span frantically
until it stopped at a position of lying on the side. Rodes
waited for the effect of the drug to wear off completely but
the world would not stand up right, until she realized she
was lying on the couch. She held the couch and stood up,
the couch broke and the plaster casting of which it was made
crumbled. Rodes looked around her in terror until one of her
friends couldn't look at her seriously any more and burst in
laughter. "Very funny" said Rodes in a sarcastic voice
realizing that it was just a sick joke as she fell and fell
and fell - until finally she could see the world smaller
than her fist floating above her. The world was moving fast
and she could see a hand pick it up and throw it along with
two other worlds very much like her own into the garbage
can, and then she heard rapping. |
