Summer winds of elevation
A soaring falcon, the peak of creation
Observing the world with all-seeing eyes
Sailing through the summer skies
The winter moon as pale as snow
Light reflecting off the ice below
A silent being, predator of night
The moonlight is sufficient to the wolf's inherent sight
A rodent in the darkness, making no sound
Feeling quite safe on the temperate ground
The serpent already regards him as meat
Although he doesn't see him, he senses his heat
Life of the insect, so very short
Welcomes us to Darwin's court
Where survival of the fittest is the only law
Execution by Evolution at the mantis' claw
He feels you in the water, he smells it if you bleed
He's made for the hunt, he's built for the speed
With three rows of teeth on his powerful jaws
Few can survive the damage he can cause
There are terrifying creatures on the charts of Evolution
But hunting to extinction isn't the solution
Though man often feels on a constant elevation
The cycles in nature hint of reincarnation |
