She sighed lightly and closed her eyes, relaxing herself.
She gently caressed his bare chest that lay beneath her,
brushing her fingernails ever-so-gently around his tummy.
She liked the warmth of his body against hers. The sound of
his steady breath relaxed her... breathe in, breathe out...
breathe in, breathe out. She closed her eyes and listened
to the beat of his heart that had already subsided from
earlier. So steady... she couldn't help but break into a
small smile, it felt as if it was one of those melodies for
babies...
He, on the other hand, had one arm wrapped around her bare
back, holding her close to him... the other one played with
the strands of her hair on his chest. He liked it, the way
it tickled... the way her spindly fingers touched him... Oh
Dear Lord, did he like the way she touched him! The way her
hand caressed his cheeks when they kissed, the way she held
the back of his head whenever she hugged him... the way only
she knew how to touch him. The same way that made him lose
his breath or words, the way he couldn't help himself but
wish he could tear everything off her so he could feel her
lustful body under his... or just lay there, holding each
other and cherish the moment.
So there they were, lying in his bed, next to each other,
their legs crossed under the covers. It was noon, in one of
the unusual dark-days of May. The dimmed light that lit the
room through the window wavered across his closet,
completely ignoring the pair of them. It had been a long,
tiring day for the both of them, but lying like that... so
relaxed, so in love made them forget all about the daily
stress and worries. No more pain, no more lies, no more
things to worry about... for now. They had each other and
that's all that mattered.
She wished they could stay that way forever. If only she
could stop time and let the world pause... what's so wrong
in sharing your love with the one you want? Why couldn't she
lay in this bed until the end of time, just to feel his arm
around her body and... that's that?
She smiled when he pushed some strands of her hair behind
her ears and looked up to his deep, dark eyes. She lifted
her head up a bit from his chest and smiled. "Hey..." she
mumbled tiredly.
"Hmmm...?" was the reply. His smile grew bigger and he
tilted his head to the side.
She reached her hand to his face and gently caressed his
unshaven face... his cheeks, down to his chin, then back up.
He sighed, closing his eyes and let himself drift to her
touch. It was so addicting, there was something about her...
he couldn't put his finger on it, he knew it was there
though. "I love you," she whispered, slightly touching the
tip of his nose. She smiled when he reopened his eyes. "I
do. I really do."
A tired, smug grin glimmered on his lips, shutting his eyes
for a brief moment when the sunshine hit his face. "I know
you do," he whispered and watched her crawl on top of him,
her face meeting his. "You know I love you too."
She grinned, lazily shaking her head. "Show me."
Anytime a day he would consider this as a challenge, but
this time it was different. If things had turned out
differently, he would've showed her exactly what he meant...
but both of them knew that moment there was no need to prove
anything, everything they needed to know had already
happened. She just leaned her head on his chest again as
they both drifted off to deep sleep... it'd been a long
day. |
